Learning about Martin Luther King Jr.

On Friday we talked about who Martin Luther King Jr. was. Students loved hearing about history and had several great questions. Their questions and comments were heartwarming and inspiring. If only we could all see the world through a six year old's eyes! Here we are watching a cartoon, Our Friend Martin and below you will find the first graders' dreams for the world; they certainly have it figured out.

"I have a dream that people stop putting trash in the ocean."

"I have a dream that bad guys turn into good guys."

"I have a dream that the good guys win."

"I have a dream that we would be nice to everyone in the whole entire world."

"I have a dream that people don’t throw trash anywhere but in the trash can."

"I have a dream that people will learn more about how to take care of our earth."

"I have a dream that everyone can be friends so we can all have friends."

"I have a dream that people won’t be mean to other people."
