Kon'nichiwa! That's hello in Japanese! Today we had writer's workshop. Some of us went down to the Library to print photos for our new books! We are working on chapter books with real photographs or images. We like to sign up on the new chart for a writing conference with Miss Lloyd. Today we started using an arrow clip for our daily schedule so we can see what subject we are on. We used to turn them over, but now we can see what we completed that day. This helps us when it's time to sit down and write the blog.Today we went down to the music/art room to get our eyes checked. We learned about digraph blends during Fundations (for example: sh r ed). Today we learned how to count in Japanese. Josh read us a story during read aloud called Biscuit. Other students have signed up to read stories during read aloud on other days this week! This is really helping with our fluency. Today we had Library and we read a nonfiction book called Winnie. It had really cute pictures of a baby bear. This book taught us about the origin of Winnie the Pooh. There were a lot of new books in the Library today! This morning, we learned how to play first to four during math.
